Volume 2, No. 1

Greetings my beloved brethren, friends and neighbors, I bid you shalom from God the Father, His beloved Son, our King and priest on high. May each one of you discover and take hold of your appointed duty and commission under our Lord’s authority and command.

Much has transpired since I last wrote. This scroll marks the beginning of Volume 2 of the Nicholas Scrolls. I will begin where I left off. If you recall, the last time I wrote you, I and the Spirit in me exhorted a strong reproof of "The War on Terror," a Bush Legacy. I tell you truly, that one exhortation really raised some eyebrows and caused some anger among a small minority on my email list. That was the first time since I had begun writing that anyone requested to be removed from the mailing list. Among the few requesting to be removed were some Navy personnel aboard the "Carl Vincent." Obviously, I struck a sensitive chord with a few patriots who love this country and what it is supposed to stand for. Please understand, I do not mock freedom but embrace it. The problem with American freedom is not that we possess it but how we’ve gone about achieving it. In this case, the end does not justify the means. Forgetting our past and the lessons of others in the world is how and why we still are making the same classic errors today. Oh, how hard we are in hearing. Oh, how hard to understand.

Please forgive me if I caused anyone offense unnecessarily. I am not a hater of what is right and just and I do not hold anything against those who are living out their lives by faith in Christ Jesus. All too often though, our faith is miss-aligned and corrupted by the domineering and political agenda of man. Please understand that my role, as directed by my Lord, is not to destroy or belittle those whose faith is weaker. Nor is it one where I am casting out babies with the bathwater. Many of you are still testing and measuring what I have said and written and some are finding it difficult to digest the strong reproof the Spirit in me exhorts to all Nations, peoples and most especially, the religious orders of men.

Romans 14:1-7 "Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him who eats not judge him that eats: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judges another man's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand. One man esteems one day above another: and another man esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks. For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself."

Regardless of what anyone says of me, I will accomplish and fulfill what I am given to do because it is what my Lord directs of me and I view that as His command in my life. The "Word," being "the same yesterday, today and forever," has not and does not change. The "Word" is eternal and it is the eternal to which I am directing each one of you.

Romans 15:1-12 "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, the reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. And again, Isaiah saith, there shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust."

As I have so boldly declared, the time is drawing near and we have but moments left in the second day before the morning of the third day dawns. Far too many human souls are calloused and full of unbelief. These souls desire only the temporal things which are destined to burn away. He who does not heed the faithful words of my Lord and Savior as it is spoken and written by His sent messengers today will find only grief and strife, various troubles and a plethora of disease, sickness, storms, earthquakes, various wars and utter calamity. Please understand that it is not my Lord who desires this for you but He seeks to deliver you from your ‘self-inflicted’ trouble. Who listens to reproof anymore? Are there anymore whom are willing to shed their filthy garments and put on the new attire? You know the clothing of white garments, of righteousness and selfless love? Have you who do understand these things, shared with any out there that it is the pattern of Christ Jesus we are to follow and it is the gospel of Christ crucified that we are to live out all our days on earth after we receive the revelation and love of the truth? He who has an ear, understand this and confess it to others whom you know and care deeply about. Do not be remiss in your duty and remember that none of you who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will escape suffering. 2 Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." This in part is our inheritance. It is what becomes of us who are faithful in the calling and commission that awaits each of us who are seeking for His kingdom and righteousness.

1 Peter 2:20-25 "For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? But if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls." This of course is assuming you have fully surrendered unto Christ’s authority.

See for yourselves. Test and measure all things I speak and write by His empowering grace and the living Word. You will understand that it is not a mere man who speaks to you but it is the Spirit of our heavenly Father in me as it was with Jesus before the cross and His disciples after Pentecost. This is what Jesus promised each one of you who choose to abide in Him. He further promised that both He and the Father would make their abode with you if you did as He commands. Are there any to whom you witness understanding that you (we) are the chosen temples in which He desires to dwell? Well? Who is your brother?

John 14:23-26 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

The main point then of this great sacrifice in which we are called to share is this: John 17:16-21 "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me."

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 "Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication (sexual immorality): That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despises, despises not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his Holy Spirit."

Matt.5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

Though I have been absent from the realm of cyberspace this summer, I was not vacationing from my appointed duty and responsibility to carry out the Gospel of Christ crucified. I have been working as a licensed Captain aboard "Heaven’s Therapy," a parasail boat on Commencement Bay in Tacoma, Washington. The summer was full of opportunity to witness to many people of various faith and persuasions. The first order of business each day was of course prayer and then to be an example to my various crew members and by the empowering grace of God, we made some progress.

One of the more difficult challenges this summer was witnessing to a female crew member who has been practicing sodomy for nine years. Fortunately, she had some background in various Church influences and a good deal of life adversity to soften the old heart of flesh. It seemed like an opportunity that I dare not pass up and one for which I hoped would bare fruit and bring this young gal to a full realization that her chosen lifestyle was indeed immoral and convince her that she had not only been seduced, but was deceived. Brethren, though we are called to judge with righteous judgment, we are not called to condemn those whom still have opportunity to repent and confess Jesus as their only true redeemer, sanctifying their souls. It is therefore necessary while being bold and unwavering in one’s faith to also put on the selfless heart of kindness and compassion, not forgetting from where you were once delivered. Where much mercy is granted, much should also be shared and practiced.

After breaking up with a boyfriend nine years prior and in a vulnerable state, she was approached by an older woman who was a practicing lesbian. Needless to say, the seeming kindness and comforts offered her at the time was what led her into this unnatural lifestyle, seducing her further into false justification. As I have said and written in prior exhortations, sodomy is not natural and is promoted through environmental influences. One of the more difficult tasks at hand was convincing this young gal that what she was feeling was not something she was born with but was indeed a result of being deceived and led to believe that ‘God made her this way.’ I tell you truly, God my Father does not make some people homosexual and choose to make others heterosexual! This is a lie that is deceiving millions! If you live in America, take a look around you and see all the sodomites come out of their hiding places. They are rapidly gaining strength and a voice in the political arena of man and beast.

As the summer progressed, we all saw how the various States and State/Municipal Courts are choosing to accept and adopt sodomite marriages and others are choosing to take a stand against it. The homosexual issues are really a hotbed of activity this election year and just another issue that further separates us from the grace of God. As Scripture clearly pointed out in the above references, these are "things that the Gentiles do." I might paraphrase a little more clearly and state that ‘these are the things that the unbelieving (un-saved) Gentiles do.’ I tell you truly, no God fearing man or woman would dare try to justify something so unnatural and immoral. But beware brethren, this does not give us license to cast stones and deliver their carnal souls up to death or practice ungodly hatreds towards them. We are called to "bear witness to them and admonish them as if they were a brother or sister." This then might lead them to a place where-by they might be brought or led into a genuine repentance and not some superficial fellowship where their sins are never addressed.

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 "And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother."

I am pleased to report with all thanksgiving and praise to our Lord for this young woman’s deliverance but it is not yet over. Here is where the battle truly begins. She, having been in such an unwholesome environment for so many years has nothing to show for her life but the clothes on her back and a car that is broken down much of the time. She has few friends and is lacking support to assist her in departing from this unwholesome environment. Do you see how the enemy works? He will go out of his way to make it nearly impossible for anyone to make any dramatic changes in their lives because Satan provides a great deal of comfort inside the houses of sin and makes it appear that there is little or no comfort outside. "Where will I go? What will I do? I have no money and a car that doesn’t run! I don’t make enough money to support myself. My life is all screwed up!" This reminds me of a verse in a popular rock and roll song by the Eagles; "Welcome to the hotel California. You can come in anytime you like but you can never leave!" Please, I beg you in the name of our Lord Christ Jesus join me in prayer for this young woman and believe with me that she can and will be delivered from this house of sin and never return. By the grace of God, we got this far and I sure would hate to see all the energy, effort and passion go to waste. Are there any out there that can speak to this woman who have been delivered and saved from this abominable life-style she was living? She could use your empowering witness and testimony.

There were many other moments of success and profound revelation in witnessing to others this summer and I was able to distribute many copies of my book this year as well. I am finding that for those who have or are reading Apostasy Revealed, they are discovering that which was once hidden is now coming to the surface. I consider this a positive result because once that which was hidden is exposed in the light; it can be dealt with and resolved. Things that are hidden in our closets of life have a way of creeping out and haunting us at the worst or most inopportune times. I quite literally, conducted Church services each day this summer and had many in attendance. Of course this was not clear and obvious to most until I mentioned it directly but my crew members saw how I purposed each day to fulfill the Word in my life and the lives of others around me. I had a few engaging opportunities to witness to some local preachers and ministers who brought family members out to parasail. In fact, my very first customer of the season was a son of an Associate Pastor of an Apostolic Church here in Tacoma. He used to be my mooring neighbor at the Marina where we live and had read my book about a year ago. The parasail season is now nearly over as I pen this exhortation and Fall/Winter approaches.

I am looking forward to catching up on duties and obligations with Cephas Ministry and recording some more radio shows providing that I can fix all the computer problems I had this summer. Just as the parasailing season began in May, I was the target for the most destructive virus attack I’ve ever witnessed. Someone out there (you know who you are) has been plaguing me with "Trojan Horse" viruses for about nine months. My anti-virus systems kept up until the last where I witnessed a complete crash. This was very upsetting and needless to say, very costly to me as I lost everything! I am currently having problems with my Internet provider and hope to have that resolved quickly so that I may continue to interact with all of you on my forum and through email. Please forgive my lengthy absence. It was not intentional. The attacks and adversity continues"

Lies, lies, hypocrisy and more lies. Oh, how the devil loves election years. Add to the prolific insurgence of sodomy in and outside the churches of America and Canada, the horrific toll that is being taken on young troops abroad fighting for democracy in Iraq. Say what? Democracy in Iraq? Since when did the President’s agenda change? Were we not told that the mission was to take out Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan? Did we not finally capture Saddam after making ruins of his empire? Sending in relief workers and support to help rebuild the torn Iraqi nation is one thing but to continue to police and govern militaristically for the cause of teaching western democracy is quite another. How many more opportunities is President Bush going to take in changing his mind? Is Senator John Kerry any better? Has anyone stopped to consider that no matter who gets into office for the next Presidential term, it is going to mean more of the same? "Men are slaves to what the majority wants," declares the Spirit in me. Oftentimes, political leaders will rob, steal and kill for the sake of democracy and justify it with the promise of freedom. Freedom from what? Are you ever really free from acts of terror or terrorism? Does the US not boast a frightening number of its own terrorist’s right here in the homeland? The number of serial killers, rapists and religious fanatics is greater within our own boarders than it is outside the USA. When are the tables going to turn and the guided missiles come our way because Homeland Security can’t root out our own domestic bad seed? That’s what the US Government did with Iraq so why not continue with the same policy here at home?

Mark my words "In the not too distant future, there will be large sectors of land developed as compounds with beefed up security to house and punish domestic dissidents and anyone that appears to pose a threat to US (New World Order) interests. If zealous religion has been such a threat to democracy in the past, will it not continue to pose a threat in the future? When will Homeland Security come knocking on our doors seeking to incarcerate or kill all who are opposed to American democracy? Or, will it be that we turn in on ourselves in a civil war and loose many innocent lives fighting for the freedom to be who we are; free souls? Does Scripture not promise us that "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." Are we who understand this not seeing the total absence of Christ-like suffering in American Christianity? Where are the Apostolic and evangelical leaders today who are supposed to be bearing with us in our affliction? You know the ones who are exhorted, "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification." Are they not all in posh manors living out lives of seeming importance carrying about in their luxury cars, planes and helicopters? Why am I content in my poverty while they’re stressed in their wealth claiming to be so far behind in annual budget projections? How many of these hypocrites are getting away with this abomination and escaping personal income taxes too? They are publishing books, hosting huge conferences and filling the media with their abominable health, wealth and prosperity doctrine because the people demand it! Just a few paragraphs back, I said, "Men are slaves to what the majority wants." It is profoundly true and has been for many millennia. That is precisely why religion has become such a popular venue. It makes money for those who administrate it no different than lawyers, attorneys, judges, law-makers, etc. etc. etc. They all are making a great deal of money to govern, control and restrict your lives while robbing you of the very freedom and money you thought you enjoyed. Why? I ask, why are so many selling themselves short? How can so many submit themselves to this kind of delusion; a system of oppression and suppression? Is the majority in this country so sold out to American religion and democracy that none can hear the rebuke and words of warning Jesus had for us 2000 years ago? What of the history of Nations and warring Governments since that time? Have we forgotten the lessons of our past and are now destined to repeat them until we anile-hate one another? What of the ancient civilizations long ago condemned for their sexual immoralities alone? How can we possibly justify the current course we are on? What have we become, animated corpses walking about the land of death? Have we lost our ability to reason and question for the sake of understanding? Who cares anymore? For the very same reasons that I do not vote on political agendas and referendums, I do not participate in man’s corruptible religious agenda. I am a follower of Christ Jesus; a contemporary disciple. When I am asked if I am Christian, I reply with, "I am a God fearing man." When asked, "What Church do you attend?" I declare, "Where I go, the Church goes. Jesus did not say ‘Go to Church.’ Jesus declared among His disciples that "We are the Church." To truly be "Christian" as defined by Scripture is to be a disciple of Christ and endure persecution and suffering for it. "Art thou my brother or sister?"

The problem with America’s ill-gotten freedom is that evil is protected and true righteousness is condemned. While many American Christians view Jesus as a kind, compassionate and forgiving soul, indeed, He was and is. I view Him to be a King. He is selfless and one, who rules with compassion and mercy and at the same time, follows through with all His promises. In many respects, Jesus was a rebel to elitism and pompous religion. He did not interfere with or participate in political agendas of the day and neither does He interfere with them today. Did His disciples conform to mainstream ideals and secularism or did they attend Christ’s command and commission? Does a leader lead by following the masses or does a leader set the pace for the pack that follows? If you truly believe Jesus to be your King, redeemer and savior then make a diligent attempt to answer these questions before you head out to your voting booths and participate in a system of evil which is failing unto itself. I tell you truly, the political houses and houses of religion are so divided that falling in on themselves is inevitable.

Be Christ-like in your adherence to "good citizenry" and make a difference for the sake of God’s Kingdom and all His suffering subjects. Do not participate in what is evil but instead, resolve to stand against the rising tide of hypocrisy and heresy and make a difference! We don’t need more laws to control and restrict! We don’t need broader acceptance of the unacceptable! We must STOP making excuses for weakness and indifference! We must cease in our divided alliances!

We must challenge the mainstream and be as salmon swimming back up a river against the raging glacial current and Indian fishing nets and cast our own seed to spawn new generations of righteous God fearing souls. At the end of a salmon run, the fish die after spawning their new eggs and sperm. Life is like that for us as well. The journey that a salmon takes in life is long and arduous. Many salmon don’t make it as they are eaten by birds and larger fish when they are small fry or swept into gillnets and swooped up by ocean trawlers as adult fish. Then there are the natural predators like whales and sea lions and the occasional sport fisherman dangling their tempting bait on hooks which the salmon must avoid if he is going to return one day to spawn new life so that the life-cycle may continue. In this little cycle which has repeated itself since the dawn of creation is a message. The message is this" "Many are called but few are chosen."Can you escape the nets and lures which will hold you captive? Will you be fortunate enough to escape the cannery and make it back to the place and purpose for which you were born? Oh, how many are caught by the traps and deceiving lures and then bought and sold several times in the market place for profit before being devoured by hungry appetites? Please, take note here that a good many souls profit from your captivity as do the fishermen who buy the State licenses and sell the captured goods to various vendors and distributors that are eventually sold by the market owner. Just like fish are "processed" and sold to market, so too are many souls caught and processed for human and beastly consumption. Please brethren, do not be among the many held captive for processing. Is your life not worth much more than many salmon? If the answer is yes, be then as the creature and vessel God created you to be and avoid the dangerous and broad highways for you see fisherman use technology to find large groups and schools of salmon to capitalize on their efforts to capture. Do not be found with the large schools where you are likely to be netted and processed for food. Avoid all tempting lures of prey and remember what your goal and mission in this life is; to spawn righteous legions of God fearing souls and complete your life cycle. If your Heavenly Father is able to care for these creatures and see to it that their cycle of life continues, how much more will He save you from the inherit dangers of life and use you to spawn further righteousness? Are you among the few that are chosen or the many who are destined to be swallowed?

I want to thank all you who have prayed for us and many in the southeast US. Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan have certainly wrought humility upon the God fearing and wrecked the homes and lives of thousands. The entire eastern portion of the US experienced devastation with lives lost and billions of dollars in estimated damage. Though Hurricanes Charley and Frances crossed over us, we were relatively unscathed except for long power outages, horrific thunderstorms and howling winds. In fact, the intersecting paths of both hurricanes made an X over Florida. Where the two paths crossed, headquarters for Cephas lay. Coincidence, perhaps it was? Not to over spiritualize here but, while dining with a brother during hurricane Ivan’s approach, he said to me, "You watch Nick, this hurricane is going to unleash damage on a biblical scale." It appears as though he was right and it causes me to stop and ponder the natural mechanisms God uses to cleanse and purify the earth. I am also reminded of a particular episode I had in February 2001 as recorded in a passage of my book, Apostasy Revealed.

"For what good were all your high-priced technologies apart from Me? What good were all your telephones, cell phones, computers and power systems? Were you not helpless for a short while? Is your foundation built upon sand, clay or rock? Is your foundation still standing?[1]
"Take heed all sons of men! Take heed all! For I have sent you My Word, My warnings and signs to accompany them.[2]

Take hold of what you do have and do not let go!" exhorted the Spirit in me.[3]
After a few days to settle and ponder and write these things down, the Spirit in me exhorted: "Because mankind has placed himself on lofty heights and because he exalts himself as God, because we do these things," [4] said my Master. "I send forth My reminders that I am still awake and not dead but I am alive![5]
"For when I smite the land and the earth trembles, all your wonderful works, your technology is valueless and so easily interrupted when the ground quakes. All your telephones, computers and power systems fail or clog like choked arteries because the people panic. They are given to consider how weak and vulnerable they are.[6]

"You so often need to be reminded how powerless and vulnerable you are apart from Me.[7]
"Did I not promise these things would come about? Have I not said that My Word causes the earth to tremble, sets forests aflame, shatters rock, and causes the wind to howl and the waves to rise and fall by My command?[8]

Have I not granted you My Word and warning? Have I not also granted you the signs to accompany them?"[9]

Asked the Lord our righteousness. "What power or protection do you have against My hand, oh sons of men? What is your assurance that your fortresses will not be a pile of rubble?"[10]
Humble yourselves before the Master’s presence, oh sons of men! Take heed, Oh Gentile Nations! For, the Spirit of the Word is true, just as my witness and testimony is true."
"Will you take heed to My warnings and believe the signs I send you? Or, will you carry on as you have for so long, as accidents of nature and descendants of primordial slime?"[11]
"When will you recognize your vulnerable state, Oh people? When will you see that your busy works are like rubble amidst ruins of vanity? For all your efforts, you still cannot tame what I set in place long ago. Why do you try?"
"Your false prophets forecast and predict after the calamity. When they say, ‘there is,’ there is not and when they say, ‘It is not,’ I make it so..."[12]
"What powers have you, apart from Me, Oh son of man? Do you have the power to raise the dead? Do you really think you can duplicate My design, the human kind? And what of the soul? Have you figured out how to re-create the human soul? What have you to say, oh sons of men?"[13]
"Will you continue to try Me and test Me? Are you testing Me now?" Asks the Spirit boldly.
"You shall not put Me to the test!" said the Master. "You are the pupil and I am the teacher. You are the pupil and I AM. You are what I created you to be. For those who see, understand and accept these things, greater shall be their reward.
"For they strengthened their strongholds (households) and accept the direction I give them as I lead them from this bondage of false hopes, freedoms and broken promises.[14]
"As it has been written, the ramparts are beginning to crumble and soon the walls will fall.[15] Only those whose walls are built upon My foundation will stand. Only those who understand and accept My command, only they will escape the worst of calamities. Certain doom is upon the horizon and only the wicked ones need fear, for their tribulation shall be great.[16]
"What material have you used to build upon? Was it sand, clay or rock? Is your foundation still standing?"[17] Excerpts from Exhortation 12, "And Signs to Accompany Them" from the book Apostasy Revealed.
The above was a portion of my witness and testimony during the Nisqually Earthquake of February 28, 2001. The recent damages left behind the east coasts’ tropical storms and hurricanes make the Nisqually earthquake seem minor by comparison. Indeed, “His word is like a hammer which shatters rock." May it be fulfilled in its entirety. AMEN

Are God’s promises in His Word really that hard to understand or accept? I pray you understand. May truth be with you and in you. With all sincerity and love for the truth,
