I purposed this morning to go back out to the dessert canyon I was in the day before. I was very much looking forward to spending some one on one time with my Lord. About a mile in the canyon, I found a pleasant bluff to perch upon to praise and worship my Lord. I was about two thirds up the side of a small mountain sitting atop a red sandstone bluff just above a natural archway. From my vantage point I could see as far as the naked eye can see, the Great Basin looking northward. High in the Rockies Basin with mountain tops surrounding me on all sides, I began praying to my Father and beseeching my Lord to guide my chose pathway that I too may be part-taker with the Brethren and all of God's shared glory and fulfilled purpose. I have found two days now to praise and worship Him while alone in the wilderness. The wilderness before me is as ancient as Noah's flood. Sedimentary
layers once formed horizontally are jetting out of the earth
towards the heavens in a near vertical position. Several thousand
years of wind sculting and hard driven rains have made this high
mountain dessert what it is today. The visual enormity surrounding
me leads me into a prayerful state. I feel a oneness with my
environment and declare agreement with the nature of God. After praying and giving much thanksgivings I read aloud two
exhortations in the wilderness where only the Spirit could hear
and He said, "These people, their hearts have become dull
and they are hard of hearing. They keep on hearing but do not
understand and they think they see but they are blind men. It
is time once again to remind them of their heresies and abominations.
Speak to them o'son of man and do not let them disregard you.
I am with you." |
