Dedication

T
hese works are dedicated to all the true followers of our Lord Jesus the Christ. He who was; is and will always be our only Salvation. To Him belong all the power, glory, honor and dominion, here now and ever after. To all of you who have died on account of Him, to all of you who will die on account of Him, to all who suffer for His namesake, may you receive your reward in full measure, AMEN

 About the Message

D
id Jesus promote religion in any way? Did He not sternly rebuke false religious ideals and the religious leaders of the day? Has mankind’s religious order done much to further or improve upon man’s own faith? Man today barley trusts the One whom he does not know. Far removed are many because of our own sins and transgressions against one another. We hate our brother and neighbor without just cause because of our own inept ability to obey His righteous standards. What we see in others is often a reflection of that which we know best, ourselves. We appear to be unable to follow the example Jesus showed us nearly two millennia ago. This is for those who have been thirsting and hungering for the righteousness of GOD. What you have desired most is encouragement to follow Jesus’ example.

Now take courage and share the experience of salvation and revelation with a Brother in Christ. “Art thou my Brother?” Not since Keith Green, has a collection of sermons and exhortations been so bold and uncompromising about the very gospel Jesus proclaimed, the gospel of Christ crucified.

As He has done so, so are we to follow in all like manner and respect. Jesus literally showed all mankind how we who are in flesh, may enter through the most Holy gates. Jesus did not love and die in our flesh so you wouldn’t have to, No! He loved and died while in the flesh of man that the willing would follow His example and continue GOD’s redemptive works in human vessels. Through His example Love is redefined. Only through uncompromising love and unwavering trust in GOD can we overcome that which is destroying us, our very self. We are our own worst enemy! GOD is calling us to yield entirely to Him. “We are in the last hours, even moments of the second day. Soon, the third day will dawn. What happens on the third day oh’ son of man?” “Let him who understands this, witness the struggle of beasts upon the earth. He who understands this will be understood.”

About the Messenger

N
icholas is a widowed, single parent of three residing in the Northwest region of the U.S. aboard a thirty-foot sailboat aptly named Shalom. Having adopted a life of simplicity as a live aboard after loosing wife, career, home and selfish ambition, “we thankfully accepted our fate and found no greater reason to live but to serve GOD willingly.”

Like others have discovered before me, salvation was not intended to save me, the person I was. No, it was quite the opposite. Salvation came with the expectation that I was to die to the person I was. While maintaining great respect with Old Covenant values, I diligently began to apply New Covenant values to my life. As I continued in my quest the more I changed and the more my eyes opened to a new reality of submission, pain, suffering and acceptance.

A truly ‘saved’ person does indeed become a ‘new creature.’ When I started applying Jesus’ teachings to my life’s direction, it was as though scripture came alive! The very Word of God leaped off the pages and took hold of me, both, convicting and comforting me at the same time. One of my earliest revelations was that all my greed, selfishness, conceit and extreme vanity was like manure, which the farmer spreads upon his field before sowing the seeds. Manure rich, I realized my field was ready for seeds to be sown. Through much prayer, study, parenting and practical application of scripture, a vineyard began to grow in me. It was not long until I realized this vineyard was beginning to produce the fruit that was meant to be shared freely.

The more I accepted Jesus and His teachings, the more rejection I experienced from peoples calling themselves Christian. As my eyes were opening wider to this reality, the more I realized Jesus’ teachings were accurate and His very Word was being confirmed. My life was becoming more like the one He and the Apostles indicated. Scripture indeed, came alive and I discovered relationship with a living GOD.

Acknowledgments

I
wish to express my thanksgiving for the adversity that certain individuals brought to me, affording me the opportunity to sharpen my sword. Some of my adversaries have been worthy opponents to spar with. Without the friction, without the heat, there can be no polishing, no refinement. Thank you Jan B. Varney, Pastors Steve Schell and Mark Walker, each of you had something to contribute. Thank you Mark and Sandy for caring enough to be bold and assertive when it seemed no one else did. Thank you Tim, Kelsey, Vance and Kipp for being true friends, even through the most trying times.

As I have been directed to do so, here now is my contribution. Freely I received, freely I give. A special acknowledgment for my three children, Jasmine Adriana, Renee Danielle and Nicholas Alexander, the three of them have endured much with me in the suffering that was promised and they have certainly grown by the shared experiences. Most worthy of mention is the revelation I received long ago that my children are indeed, a barometer that measures atmospheric pressures in my life. I’ve learned to listen and pay attention to what my Master shows through them. Through their eyes, I am an earthly representation of our Heavenly Father in devotion and commitment. Through my eyes my children are what I should become more like.

Through them I have learned more about a proper relationship with our Father and His Son than any book could have taught. Their hope and expectation of me to be the ‘Jesus like’ example in their lives has been every bit as convicting as scripture. Through them my own strengths and weaknesses are revealed. They are the fruit on my tree of life. I offer a prayerful thanksgiving for Carolyn Scheidies for her careful editing and advise. Thank you Mom for first teaching me, “No matter how much it hurts, the truth is always the better way.” May Heaven’s assembly sing praises of men like Darrell Scott who suffer for the sake of God’s plan, all who are used for His divine purpose to spread the message of Truth. Lord, let all who suffer travesty to this degree, be filled with your purpose and promise of a better life still yet to be realized, AMEN.

Unless otherwise noted, Scripture taken from the New American Standard Bible, copyrights 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975 and 1977 by The Lockman Foundation. Used by permission.

I strongly recommend the serious minded disciple to crowd himself with various Bible versions and get to know the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance. Study the Hebrew and Greek dictionaries and don’t be afraid to practice comparative analysis. Revelations of understanding await you as you search out His eternal kingdom and His message of righteousness. May an extra portion of His empowering grace be for those who accept these harder truths. May His mercy and patience be enough for those who have yet to turn and follow after Him. Have mercy on us Father and teach us to have mercy with fear, I pray. AMEN
